Luigi Di Ruocco Shares Pro Tips with Bar & Restaurant.

Coffee can be the last thought in restaurant menu development. We see this as a lost opportunity. So when industry authority Bar & Restaurant put together their feature “Profiting from Coffee at Restaurants: Experts Offer Tips”, Mr. Espresso VP of Sales Luigi Di Ruocco was happy to share insights drawn from 20 years in the business. Luigi has been on both sides of the fence – in the wholesale role with the family business, and in the hospitality role as co-owner of San Francisco’s Coffee Bar, which he also co-founded.

Regarding the selection of a coffee provider:

“Get familiar with what they offer as far as equipment packages, repair and maintenance, staff training and overall coffee program guidance.”

– Luigi Di Ruocco, Co-owner & VP of Sales, Mr. Espresso

Additionally, Mr. Espresso client Alley & Vine Restaurant, Alameda, CA, lent their expertise to the Bar & Restaurant piece, pointing to the value of a solid partnership between restaurant and coffee vendor.

Partner and co-founder, SF Bay Area hospitality industry veteran Casey Hunt discusses the restaurant’s coffee strategy, along with much-appreciated kudos for our role as their coffee provider:

“Not only do they (Mr. Espresso) have an awesome story as a business – and the people who work there make our jobs so much easier – but the product they supply is top-notch and makes a huge difference in the cup,”

– Casey Hunt, Partner and co-founder, Alley & Vine
