Chris Deferio talks to John Di Ruocco & Luigi Di Ruocco for Founder’s Friday

We were thrilled with the invitation to join Chris Deferio, founder of the Keys to the Shop Podcast, geared toward coffee professionals, yet still a fascinating listen for any coffee lover who also craves to know more about the coffee industry.

The Di Ruocco brothers, John and Luigi, enjoyed a deep dive with Chris, discussing our 45-year-old company: from its founding by their father Carlo Di Ruocco, to remaining committed to the traditional Italian craft of wood roasting coffee against the backdrop of a changing coffee landscape. John and Luigi share much of what they have learned about longevity and their continuing goal to make an impact within the industry, including John’s philosophy around buying practices. Of course, they also touch on Mr. Espresso’s recently opened, first brick-and-mortar, The Caffè!

For a fascinating coffee history lesson, give our episode a listen. While you are there, subscribe to Keys to The Shop for more great content for the consummate coffee professional, as well as anyone who enjoys geeking over coffee.

Huge thanks to Chris and team for inviting us to share our story! We hope all you podcast fans will enjoy listening in as much as we enjoyed talking with Chris!
