Abana Estate, Gera, Limu

The Abana Sulladjah comes from the Oromia region, in the Southwestern part of Ethiopia. The farm was started in 2009 by the Omran family after humanitarian aid and development causes in poverty-stricken areas brought them to this part of Ethiopia. The coffee is grown at elevations of 6,300 to 7,200 feet, and shaded by old growth highland forests. The farm utilizes a water recycling wet mill and uses the natural resources of the forest canopy to aid in creating the best coffee they can produce.  Abana coffee also has completed five community based medical projects in the local town of Gera. These consist of cataract surgeries and dental procedures. Abana has also donated medical supplies to a local health clinic and helped support a new preschool.
