Inspired by the foodservice community’s powerful response to food insecurity in the wake of COVID-19, we created the In Our Hearts Fund. With In Our Hearts, your home coffee purchase will help offer moments of comfort to others in need. Like sharing a cup with a friend.

As a nation, we have also been called to respond to our country’s second pandemic — centuries in the making. We at Mr. Espresso are committed to doing our part in the fight against systemic racism, including the support of Black-led initiatives and businesses in our community.

Currently, a portion of proceeds from home sales of the popular Seven Bridges Blend are going directly to our Roots Run Deep Fund for these causes. Seven Bridges Blend is named for the bridges that connect the Bay Area’s richly diverse peoples. We are proud to be rooted in this community.

The East Oakland Collective is a member-based community organizing group invested in serving the communities of deep East Oakland by working towards racial and economic equity. With programming in civic engagement and leadership, economic empowerment, and homeless services and solutions, the collective helps amplify under-served communities from the ground up.

Community Kitchens is a re-purposing of Oakland’s restaurants to provide hot meals for those in need during the Covid-19 crisis. Funds raised are used to purchase low-cost meals from Oakland restaurants for donation to local non-profit relief organizations that distribute directly to our community.
