Mr. Espresso, alongside ItalFoods and Sienna Imports, was honored for 40 years of business in Oakland, California.
ItalFoods, Siena Imports and Mr. Espresso each began in 1978, founded by Italian immigrants to Northern California. Respective founders Walter Guerra, Romano Chietti and our President Carlo Di Ruocco, each had a common goal. They wanted to enhance and authenticate the Italian dining experience in SF Bay Area restaurants. Each offered exceptional, authentic products by importing from Italy or by producing locally while staying true to Italian methods.
Restaurateur Larry Mindel, (Il Poggio, Sausalito, and Il Fornaio Restaurant Group with presence across the country) is a shared client and an early supporter of our businesses. As Larry’s businesses have grown to locations across the country, we are grateful that he has remained a loyal customer.
