What an honor to be spotlighted in the KRON4 Heroes Series at a time when there are so many selfless heroes on the frontlines. Our deep thanks to KRON4 for highlighting our efforts. We hope to grow our In Our Hearts Fund so that we can continue to help the most vulnerable in our community.
Since the start of the pandemic last March, has donated over 2,500 pounds of coffee and cash donations to more than 25 local relief initiatives through our “.” The fund was created as a way for Mr. Espresso to give back to its community amid unprecedented times as online coffee sales increased as shelter-in-place orders were issued.
Among the 25 local COVID-19 relief initiatives that we’ve been able to help include;
- Alameda County Community Food Bank
- San Francisco-Marin Food Bank
- Frontline Foods
- East Bay Feed ER
- Clinica de La Raza
- St. Anthony’s Dining Room
- Loaves and Fishes Family Kitchen
- Medical staff at 8 Bay Area hospitals
Mr. Espresso has also been donating supplies for displaced industry workers through Chef Edward Lee’s nationwide Restaurant Workers relief Program operating locally through alaMar Kitchen and Bar.
